Job Summary
Responsible for identifying packaging development opportunities, designing innovative packaging solutions, and supporting the New Product Development (NPD) process.
Job Description
- Identify opportunities for new packaging products and services based on customer needs, market trends, and business strategy.
- Develop innovative packaging concepts and structural designs that meet customer and industry requirements.
- Gather and analyze customer requirements to support packaging development initiatives.
- Coordinate and facilitate the New Product Development (NPD) process, ensuring projects progress through each development phase and Product Step Meetings on schedule.
- Work closely with Customer Science, R&D, Sales, and cross-functional teams to translate market insights into commercial packaging solutions.
- Monitor the commercialization and sales performance of newly developed products before transitioning them into the innovative product portfolio.
- Stay updated on global packaging trends, technologies, and industry developments to identify future business opportunities.
- Support product presentations and technical discussions with internal stakeholders and customers when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Technology, Industrial Design, Product Design, Packaging Engineering, or other related fields. (Bachelor GPA > 2.70, Master GPA > 3.30)
- Open for new graduates or candidates with 0–3 years of experience in packaging development, structural design, product development, technical support, or related fields.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, packaging structure, and product development processes.
- Understanding of New Product Development (NPD), packaging innovation, or market-driven product development is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CAD or packaging design software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, Illustrator, or similar) is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Good command of English in verbal and written communication (TOEIC > 550).
- Willing to work onsite at SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (Bang Sue, Bangkok).
